Chelmsford, MA – The Chelmsford Police Department is pleased to welcome Officer Derek Stark as the newest member of the department. Officer Stark transferred from the Westborough Police Department, bringing valuable experience and a strong commitment to public service. He was sworn in yesterday at the police department in a ceremony with family, friends, and members of the department.
Officer Stark began his career as a public safety dispatcher before advancing to a reserve officer position. Through dedication and hard work, he became a full-time officer and graduated from the Reading Police Academy in 2020. His former colleagues have praised him as an exceptional officer with extensive training and credentials.
Chelmsford Police Chief Colin Spence expressed confidence in Officer Stark’s ability to serve the department and the community, stating, “Officer Stark will be a great addition to both the department and the residents we serve. His experience and dedication to public safety will strengthen our mission to protect and serve.”
