Patrol Division

The Chelmsford Police Department’s Patrol Division acts as the primary force in law enforcement, tasked with patrolling assigned areas, upholding public safety, proactively preventing and responding to crimes, and fostering community engagement to establish trust and address concerns.

This division holds a pivotal role in protecting the community and aligns with the broader mission of the police department. Each shift is led by a minimum of two supervisors and supported by at least 5 patrol officers.
