Youth Academy

The Chelmsford Police Youth Academy is organized by the School Resource Officers and sponsored by the Chelmsford Police Athletic League (CPAL). The Youth Academy is typically held in July and has had many demonstrations to offer insight into the law enforcement career.  Some of the units that have been showcased are the NEMLEC SWAT, NEMLEC Motor Unit, Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad, Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, Detective Capabilities, and Drone Unit. The Youth Academy does a community project as part of the curriculum. This has been another great way to connect with our younger population.
