Chelmsford Police Investigating Crash Involving Motor Vehicle, Motorcycle

CHELMSFORD — Chief James M. Spinney says the Chelmsford Police Department is investigating a crash that took place Sunday morning on Princeton Street.

At 10:41 a.m. Sunday, Chelmsford Police responded to the scene of a crash between a vehicle and motorcycle near the intersection of Princeton Street and Richardson Road.

Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old male motorcyclist laying on the ground. Chelmsford Fire and Pridestar/Trinity EMS also responded to the scene. The motorcyclist was transported by MedFlight to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The operator of the other vehicle, a 76-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital, and was treated and released.

The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section also responded to assist. The crash remains under investigation by the Chelmsford Police Department. At this time, no citations or charges have been filed.
