Criminal Bureau
The present configuration of the Criminal Bureau comprises a team of 5 Detectives entrusted
with the examination of major crimes extending beyond routine patrol responsibilities. These
encompass, but are not confined to, homicide, sexual assault, robbery, burglary, arson,
breaking and entering, larceny, identity and various forms of fraud, juvenile offenses, assault
and battery, and drug trafficking/distribution.
Detectives shoulder the responsibility of pursuing leads and scrutinizing evidence from the
preliminary stages of an investigation to the successful resolution of the incident. Additionally,
they collaborate with the District Attorney’s Office in the post-arraignment phase of criminal
matters, ensuring a just and equitable prosecution process.
