Four Graduate from NECC Police Academy to Join Chelmsford PD

HAVERHILL, MA — The Chelmsford Police Department is proud to welcome four new officers following their graduation on Friday, August 15, 2025, from the 7th Recruit Officer Course (ROC) at the Massachusetts Police Training Council’s Northern Essex Community College Police Academy.

Graduating today were Officer Mosab Abdeldiam, Officer Cooper Brown, Officer Barry Doucette, and Officer Jack Cerulo. They were among recruits representing departments and institutions across the region, including Lynn, Marblehead, Methuen, Newburyport, Northbridge, Salem, Arlington, Bunker Hill Community College, Burlington, Danvers, Everett, Fitchburg State University, Haverhill, Lowell, Somerville, Templeton, Townsend, Waltham, and the Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Over the course of 24 intensive weeks, the recruits completed rigorous academic instruction, physical fitness training, and practical skills development. During the graduation ceremony, Officer Cooper Brown was recognized with the “Top Gun” Award for achieving the highest score in firearms training.

The four new officers will be officially sworn in on Monday, August 18, 2025, after which they will begin a 12-week Field Training Program, working alongside experienced Field Training Officers to learn the day-to-day operations of the Chelmsford Police Department.

We congratulate Officers Abdeldiam, Brown, Doucette, and Cerulo on this significant achievement and look forward to their service to the Chelmsford community.
