Chelmsford – Officer Keith Leczynski was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during a ceremony held in the department community room on the morning of Wednesday, July 31st. In attendance were members of the department, employees from various town entities, and friends and family.
In January 2015, Sergeant Leczynski joined the Chelmsford Police Department. His journey started with the day shift, and most recently, he has been serving on the early night shift as a Field Training Officer. Sgt. Leczynski has undergone numerous training programs during his tenure, such as becoming a part of the Motor Unit, Mountain Bike Unit, and NEMLEC Regional Response Team.
In his speech, Chief Spence recognized Sgt. Leczynski’s various letters of praise and awards he has received over his 10 years with the department.
